Reconciliation Day

10 am to 3 pm, Monday 2 June 2025, Commonwealth Park, Canberra

Reconciliation Day is a chance for Canberrans to come together, reflect, and take meaningful steps toward a more inclusive future.

Held on Monday, 2 June 2025, this special day invites our community to engage in truth-telling, knowledge-sharing, and healing.

Join us at Commonwealth Park for a free, family-friendly event filled with live music, cultural performances, conversation, and food - all celebrating the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

This year's National Reconciliation Week theme, Bridging Now to Next, invites us to honour the past, act in the present, and build a better future. It's a call to continue the journey-drawing on the lessons of history to guide the way forward.

Event program

The event program is packed with vibrant performances, interactive workshops, and cultural demonstrations that highlight the importance of reconciliation. Enjoy energetic dance and music acts, hands-on activities, and learn more about Indigenous traditions.

There is something for everyone, including family-friendly activities like face painting, zoo interactions, storytelling, live music, and more!
