Showcase your talent by creating an original song (any genre!) inspired by Reconciliation Day. Get the chance to perform live at the 2025 event and receive feedback from music industry experts!

How to enter:
- Submit your original song by: 31 March 2025
- Email reconciliationACT@act.gov.au with your name, age, school, and contact info for both submissions
Important Information:
- Only the top selected entries will perform onstage at the Finalist Review Showcase and may progress to Reconciliation Day
- If using music - make sure to use original or royalty-free music
Important Dates:
- Submit your original song: 31 March 2025
- Mentoring Sessions: 14 April – 24 April 2025 at ANU
- Finalist Review Showcase: 1 May 2025 at Tuggeranong Art Centre
- Performance Day: 2 June 2025 at Commonwealth Park
Eligibility:
- Open to all ACT school students (Years 7-12)
- Must attend mentoring session at ANU
- Finalist MUST attend Finalist Review Showcase and if successful the 2025 Reconciliation Day event
- Only originally work—no covers or copies!
- Original and royalty free (must show proof) songs are permitted
- Be prepared to travel independently to the mentoring location at ANU, finalist review showcase at Tuggeranong Art Centre and performance at Commonwealth Park
- Must have parent/guardian escort and permission at all events
